Ginger being ridden just 8 months after being severely foundered. She's happy, sound and healthy.

Natural Barefoot Trim combined with excellent, individual feed plan and regular exercise helps to keep this 36+ year old gal going ...

36+ year old QH/Morgan. Foundered 5/2002 with slippered toes and typical founder stance. (photo to left).

Her hooves were horribly mis-shapened. Looking at the sole view she had maybe an inch of sole on the right side of the frog and 4" of sole on the left side on the same hoof. The frog looked as if rats had chewed on it. She was tremendously bow-legged and her chest was about 2 1/2' wide because of her stance. Her hooves were 6" long and slippered and twisted.

The first time I trimmed her, her chest narrowed and her legs became straighter. She was obviously MUCH more comfortable. I continued to trim a little here and there over the next couple of weeks. The photo of her running was just a few weeks after the initial trim.  She was a different horse!

The photo of her one singular front hoof was taken almost a year later. She still needs trimming every couple of weeks to maintain the shape but the hoof is actually round as seen from the sole, the sole is even and she is comfortable and being ridden again at a walk and slow trot. Her knees don't allow her to do much else. She has a 4 year old little girl who rides her regularly and we couldn't ask for a better match!

Getting photos of her is tough because she's camera shy and GALLOPS away from photographer!
