 ABOUT Gwenyth Browning Jones Santagate

Gwen resides in Douglas, Massachusetts with her family which consists of her husband of 35 years, grown children and grandchildren. She and her husband own the small, family farm called PENZANCE where they board, train and trim horses of all breeds, disciplines and ages. Gwen has developed and teaches many clinics and courses including Natural Barefoot Trim and Progressive Equine Partnership Training. Her background with horses goes back 38 years to her mid-teens when she first learned how to stay on the back of a run-away horse! She helped to gentle her first Mustang at the age of 18 and has successfully worked with hundreds  of horses since. She has been trimming her own barefooted horses since the 80's and has spent the last 5 years in intensive studies on natural hooves and barefoot trimming. She studied under Marjorie Smith for several years during which time she also studied the trim methods of Jaime Jackson, Hiltrud Strasser, KC LaPierre, Gene Ovnicek and most recently, Pete Ramey.
